The agencies below are working with Blue Ridge Energy members and customers to qualify recipients for up to $150 in electric and fuel bill assistance and will be responsible for distributing the funds. Remember, we're "In This Together."

NOTE: In addition to the above counties, Blue Ridge Energy electric members in Alexander, Avery and Wilkes counties along with propane and fuels customers in Burke, Alexander and Catawba counties and Grayson County, VA, are eligible to receive assistance from this fund. Gov. Cooper has announced a new statewide initiative called the Housing Opportunity and Prevention of Evictions (HOPE) Program. This program provides rent and utility assistance to eligible low- and moderate-income renters* experiencing financial hardship due to the economic effects of COVID-19. It is designed to help prevent evictions and utility disconnections in order to promote housing stability during the ongoing pandemic. HOPE is an initiative of the NC Office of Recovery and Resiliency, a division of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Click on the links below for additional information.
