All Power Restored After Monday’s Windstorm
As of 2:17 p.m., all outages related to Monday’s windstorm have been restored.
At the height of the outages, 5,759 Blue Ridge Energy members were impacted from high winds and snow, primarily in the cooperative’s mountain districts of its service area.
In total, the impacts were as follows: Watauga district: 34 different locations were damaged, causing outages to 2,731 members; Ashe district: 38 locations were damaged, affecting 1,707 members; Alleghany district: 13 damaged locations led to outages for 993 members; and in Caldwell district: eight damaged locations created outages for 448 members.
